Royal Oak Floors are obsessive in crafting consistent, exactingly engineered, quality oak floors. We use only sustainably-sourced European oak of the very finest grade and adhere strictly to the highest design and engineering principles and environmental standards.

  1. Pre-finished with UV Lacquer, Oxidative Lacquer or Oil provides long-lasting protection
  2. 6mm layer of European Oak harvested from FSC-certified and responsibly managed sources
  3. Our 20mm floorboards have a multi-layer plywood to ensure strength and durability
  4. Boards are tongue and groove, end-matched with micro-bevelled edges
  5. Birch plywood back, creating a stable foundation

Grading Criteria

Mixed Grade

Mixed grade is our standard range and contains larger and more frequent knot content compared to the Premium grade. It contains some colour variation and variable grain pattern.

Feature Grade

Feature grade typically exhibits much more frequent knots and also larger knots. They also feature character such as cracks (filled), sapwood, variation in grain pattern and colour. The most character filled flooring we carry.

Premium Grade

Premium grade is considered a cleaner look with minimal knots & variation. It is the highest grade of flooring we provide. Note that this is not a standard stock item.

Specifying the right finish

Different aesthetics demand different finishes. We’ve carefully refined a lacquer system and an oil finish that enhance the beautiful inherent qualities of oak.
